June Wrap-Up: Slow and Steady Wins the Race

So according to my 50 books page, I have read 6 books. I don’t think this is too bad considering I did not read a book for the first week and a half. A combination of things going on, presentations to make and just general mishap with people made sure of that!

One thing that helped with the reading was definitely the purchase of my Kindle. I don’t know about you, Blogger friends but I read twice as much in a week with that thing. I love it.  Anyways, here are the books I read this month. Clicky them images for Goodreads.

Just Listen Fire & Flood Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) The Truth Is a Cave in the Black Mountains: A Tale of Travel and Darkness with Pictures of All Kinds How to Love This is Not a Test

The month started with Just Listen and I really liked it in the end. I think my reading took a better turn when I bought my Kindle. Fire and Flood, Cinder and This is Not a Test were all favourites this month and all cheap on the Kindle Store so get running if you don’t know what to buy. Reviews for all of them will be up soon and arguably, This is Not a Test was my book of the month. There is gonna be a small theme for next month: Review books. I have some pretty amazing review books from both the Netgalley and Bookbridgr that have been stockpiling so this month I am aiming to empty that out.

This Month in: Reviews – Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass #1) – Just Listen by Sarah Dessen – When She Woke by Hillary Jordan  – Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson

This Month in: Discussions – Green Bumps and Green Lit: A Discussion – A Rock and a Hard Place: Supporting Local Bookstores – Why I Am No Longer Making TBR’s

This Month In: Memes – Showcase Sunday #8 – Showcase Sunday #9  – Showcase Sunday #10

So this has been my month in posts and books! Let me know how you all got on in the comments! I hope I read a little bit more this month since summer is about to kick in!

Wheee, I hoped you loved Cinder and This Is Not A Test. Those were awesome reads for me and I hope they were the same for you. And I agree about the Kindle… it definitely molded the reader in me. I wouldn’t be reading as much as I do now without it 😮

Sounds like a great month for you. I have Throne of Glass on my shelf and I’m ready to read this one soon. I’ve heard ravings all around about this series. I’ve been looking for a copy of Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson because I wanted that book to be my first of hers that I read but I’m eyeing Second Chance Summer too. Thanks for sharing and for stopping by my Sunday Post. Have a great week ahead!
