August Wrap-Up: I Don’t Know What Happened But Can This Be a Regular Thing?

Another month has gonna be and we are edging ever so much closer to the fall. This month has been a good one for me considering I was working full time and I declared hiatus!

As you can see above I read 12 books. Here are some linkies in the order I read them so you can check them all out!

Neferet’s Curse by PC and Kristin Cast (House of Night Novella #3)
Saga Volume #1 by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples
45 Pounds (More or Less) by K. A Barson
Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass #3)
Cursed by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Half Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Half-Blood #1)
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (audiobook)
Daimon by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Half-Blood 0.5)
Marvel’s Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (adapted by Nancy Butler & Hugo Petrus)
Allegiant by Veronica Roth (Divergent #3)
Legend by Marie Lu (Legend #1)
The Heart Does Not Grow Back by Fred Venturini

This was definitely the month of trying new things! I think switching formats really helped! I tried graphic novels & audiobooks for the first time (both were brill!) and there is also a novella thrown in there!

My book of the month definitely goes to Heir of Fire. I was very lucky and I got an E-ARC a few weeks back. It was installment of the three. I came home from work genuinely wanting to read more! I read it over 5 days which was the best!

My surprise book this month is Allegiant. That is one book I thought I would never get to. I was bogged down by hate and spoilers but in the end it was well worth it. I take my hat off to Roth for ending it the way she did.  Not your typical ending for a YA novel!

These are all the books I read this month. Do you guys recognise any of these? If so let me know your thoughts on them! Have a great reading month! 🙂

July Wrap-Up: A Tale of Stutter Reading

Hello lovelies! Another month has come and gone and it is time for my monthly wrap up. According to the Goodreads, I have read 8 books this month. Which is my best reading month yet! On a side note, do you ever feel like you have not read that much when you have read a lot? Yeah, that is my month in a nutshell. I went through a bout of reading books in a day and then it took me nearly a week to read another! Hence the title of stutter reading. I have had such a bad rhythm this month! My new full time job does not help though!

Now, on to the books!

This Month in: Reviews

– Cinder by Marissa Meyer

– The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

– Fire and Flood by Victoria Scott

– This is Not a Test by Courtney Summers

This Month in: Memes

– Showcase Sunday #11

So this has been my month in books and posts. I am still working full time and my schedule is slowly working itself out. So hopefully I will be back reading and blogging a bit more frequently. This is the last month before university! I hope I make it count! How has your reading month gone? Let me know in the comments below!

June Wrap-Up: Slow and Steady Wins the Race

So according to my 50 books page, I have read 6 books. I don’t think this is too bad considering I did not read a book for the first week and a half. A combination of things going on, presentations to make and just general mishap with people made sure of that!

One thing that helped with the reading was definitely the purchase of my Kindle. I don’t know about you, Blogger friends but I read twice as much in a week with that thing. I love it.  Anyways, here are the books I read this month. Clicky them images for Goodreads.

Just Listen Fire & Flood Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) The Truth Is a Cave in the Black Mountains: A Tale of Travel and Darkness with Pictures of All Kinds How to Love This is Not a Test

The month started with Just Listen and I really liked it in the end. I think my reading took a better turn when I bought my Kindle. Fire and Flood, Cinder and This is Not a Test were all favourites this month and all cheap on the Kindle Store so get running if you don’t know what to buy. Reviews for all of them will be up soon and arguably, This is Not a Test was my book of the month. There is gonna be a small theme for next month: Review books. I have some pretty amazing review books from both the Netgalley and Bookbridgr that have been stockpiling so this month I am aiming to empty that out.

This Month in: Reviews – Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass #1) – Just Listen by Sarah Dessen – When She Woke by Hillary Jordan  – Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson

This Month in: Discussions – Green Bumps and Green Lit: A Discussion – A Rock and a Hard Place: Supporting Local Bookstores – Why I Am No Longer Making TBR’s

This Month In: Memes – Showcase Sunday #8 – Showcase Sunday #9  – Showcase Sunday #10

So this has been my month in posts and books! Let me know how you all got on in the comments! I hope I read a little bit more this month since summer is about to kick in!
